Why do dogs need to brush their teeth?

Because poor oral health can cause tooth loss, bad breath, pain and infections that can lead to heart disease, arthritis and other health complications. Sometimes there are no signs of dental trouble until it takes root! Keep your dog's teeth in good condition by following these tips:

Prevent your dog from having bad breath

• Provide lots of water
• Clean your dog's teeth at least 2-3 times a week
• Use only Enzymatic Toothpaste for dogs

Not sure how to brush your dog's teeth?

• Start by touching your dog's face and mouth with your fingers
• Next, touch there teeth and gums
• Let your dog test a bit of the toothpaste
• Start by brushing in slow circles and gently go along the gumline and teeth focusing on the outer surfaces, if possible try all surfaces
• Brush for 30 seconds on each side
• Praise, Praise, Praise!
• Replace your dog's toothbrush every 3-4 months

*Tip - Train your puppy to allow you to put your hands in his/her mouth so that you can brush the teeth. Ideally your dog's teeth should be brushed daily, but most veterinarians suggest brushing at-least twice a week!
