The Origin Point
The American Morkshire Terrier Club, Inc. (AMTC) was established by A.M. Robbins along with four other dedicated enthusiasts who were united by their desire to safeguard the legacy of the American Morkshire Terrier, affectionately referred to as Morkshire Terrier or "AMT" breed. The primary aim of the club was to create a reliable registration system and uphold a meticulous and standardized database to accurately record, preserve, enhance, and promote the distinctive rare breed. Starting from a small office in Hendersonville, North Carolina, the Club eventually moved to a specialized facility situated in the mountains, reflecting its expansion and unwavering dedication to the breed's preservation.
Role of THE AMTC
As the foremost national organization committed to the American Morkshire Terrier breed on an international level, the American Morkshire Terrier Club (AMTC) has recently bolstered its leadership team by welcoming three additional passionate dog lovers to its board. This strategic enhancement not only reinforces the Club's stature as a preeminent authority within the American Morkshire Terrier community but also amplifies its mission to achieve full recognition for the breed.
