The American Rescue Association® (AMRA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of passionate volunteers dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating the American Morkshire Terrier and other vulnerable animals nationwide. Our team works tirelessly to provide these animals with the care they need, both physically and emotionally, while they are in foster homes.

Our volunteers are deeply committed to the well-being of these animals and strive to utilize all available resources to support them. Whether it is through medical treatment, behavioral rehabilitation, or finding loving forever homes, we are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of these animals.

AMRA has created a Wish List for donations. Contributions can be dropped off at our donation box in the Pet Source store on 1927 Spartanburg Hwy, Hendersonville, North Carolina. Alternatively, essential items can be purchased and sent to the American Rescue Association at PO Box 473, Burnsville, NC 28714.

Microchipping your pets significantly increases their chances of being reunited with you, tripling the likelihood if they find themselves in a rescue or shelter. Despite these encouraging statistics, around 10 million pets go missing annually, leading to overcrowded shelters and declining adoption rates. To combat this crisis, we have teamed up with AKC to facilitate joyful reunions daily, and when clinics are closed, we step in as an AKC Good Samaritan to help lower intake numbers. We provide AKC Reunite Microchipping and Check the Chip Services. Reach out to us today!
